In the Times Higher Education 2023 world university rankings, King’s College London (KCL) was listed as 10th best in the world for the subject of ‘Clinical and Health’ and ranked 8th in the world for ‘Psychology’. Notably, KCL is a proud founding partner of the Francis Crick Institute; the UK’s flagship biomedical research institute and ranks among the top universities for collaborations which benefit the economy and society (Knowledge Exchange Framework, 2022). Its innovations have produced over £1 billion in either investment or share sale proceeds in companies it has helped launch and was ranked first in London for equity investments into spin-outs in 2022.

It operates across five leading hospitals that provide a full range of lifelong, general and specialist care, as well as clinical research, innovation, education, and training. The Trust is notable for their leadership in cardiovascular, respiratory and children’s health.

The King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of London's largest and busiest teaching hospitals and operates across five sites. The Trust specialises in nationally and internationally recognised liver disease and transplantation, neurosciences, haemato-oncology and foetal medicine work.

The SLaM NHS Foundation Trust is the largest mental health trust in the United Kingdom and unique in the world in regards to its wide-ranging capabilities across care and treatment, science and research, and training. The KCL Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN)continues its partnership with the Maudsley NHS Trust in driving world-class clinical research, through joint initiatives such as the National Institute for Health Research Biomedical Research Centre.

Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation are an independent charitable foundation with an endowment of close to £1 billion, making it one of the largest in the UK. The Foundation invests in and partners with organisations to tackle significant health challenges, investing c. £136 million in work in Lambeth and Southwark in the last five years.
