SC1’s three Innovation Hubs sit within some of London’s fastest growing and most vibrant commercial and cultural centres. Our Innovation Hubs are centres of excellence in mental health & neuroscience, cardiovascular & respiratory disease, cancer and blood disorders, and provide access to a rich heritage of academic and clinical leadership. The Hubs are underpinned by expertise in artificial intelligence and health technologies as well as an ecosystem that supports and accelerates development of innovative solutions from conception through to commercialisation.

Westminster Bridge Campus

SC1 MedTech Hub

As per the name, this Hub is notable for its leadership in healthcare engineering, with the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering, the Mary Seacole Centre, and a state of the art imaging centre and Surgical and Interventional Engineering Validation Suite. Cutting edge work is being carried out across areas as diverse as Children’s Health, Cardiovascular and Respiratory Disease – all at world-renowned speciality centres of excellence.

London Bridge Campus

SC1 BioMedical Hub

Pioneering work is being carried out by this Hub in the fields of Cancer, Advanced Therapeutics, Cell Therapy and Genomics, through cutting edge facilities at Guy’s Cancer Centre, Guy’s and St Thomas’s Genomic Medicine Centre, and Guy’s Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult.

Denmark Hill Campus

SC1 Mind and Body Hub

Focusing on areas such as neuroscience, mental health, neurosurgery, haematology, liver disease, transplantation and foetal medicine, this Hub includes centres-of-excellence such as: King’s Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN) and the Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre.
